Despite the boggy terrain and cold rain, the Playscape team of experts bounded straight into action to help Market Deeping Town Council achieve their playground ambitions. Due to the central location of this play area site, safety fences were installed from day one. This measure helped to safeguard the general public while a long-awaited and much anticipated play area update came together.

THE BRIEF

Surface maintenance must-haves 

The brief was far from simple – it must have inclusive elements, a range of textures and colours, an area designated Much safer and fresher playground surfaces were clearly the order of the day here in Market Deeping, near Peterborough. Representatives of the town council confirmed that the old and worn rubber surface had to go, while every piece of existing play equipment must remain in place. What was our action plan? Start by clearing and removing the unwanted rubber surface, before fitting a wonderfully box-fresh replacement. The team from the town council had a clear and practical vision for this play area, which we were eager to deliver on time and within the available budget. 

THE DESIGN

Reliable, robust rubber wet pour 

Despite the rain, our vision for this playground began to take shape. This make-over called for a classic, rubber wet pour surface. You will find that rubber wet pour is available in an endless array of colours, ranging from a timeless playground black to stunning cobalt blue, bright yellow and ruby red.

THE RESULTS

Spruced up local playground is a hit

Families flooded back in to enjoy this reopened playground, in the heart of Market Deeping. The Town Council was delighted with the finished result, which offered a safe environment,  made to last for years of play. The rubber wet pour surface offers the site a classic look and feel, and softens falls and bumps of local children.
