Playpave comprises decorative aggregate and recycled rubber granules mixed with binder. The rubber granules are available in a variety of different colours, making Playpave a subtle but effective way to brighten up areas usually given over to dull grey concrete.

When to use  Playpave?

Playpave can be used as a more colourful and attractive alternative to concrete or tarmac. It’s water-permeable and has anti-slip properties. This makes it ideal for:

  • Footpaths and walkways
  • Bicycle tracks
  • Daily mile tracks

Playpave does not offer any safety surfacing properties for underneath play equipment or other structures requiring a free fall height safety zone. For safety surfacing, we recommend play-grade bark, rubber wetpour, rubber mulch, artificial grass or grass mats, depending on your requirements.

Playpave can be laid directly on top of old tarmac or concrete, making it a very convenient and cost-effective way to brighten up an outdoor space.

When laid onto a grass or soil area, Playpave must be laid onto an engineered MOT sub-base. All our installations of Playpave are carried out by our fully qualified, enhanced DBS-checked installation team.

Playpave is a low-maintenance surface. Optional semi-regular brushing and jetwashing will help maximise its longevity.
