Resin bound stone driveways are made up of natural aggregates mixed with a UV-stable resin. Bound together, they create a highly robust yet water-permeable surface. Its unique properties mean that resin bound stone can withstand very heavy traffic, including from HGVs, and can last for 20 years when well-maintained.
As resin is water-permeable, rainfall can easily drain across the surface, reducing puddles and flooding and making it a more eco-friendly choice than concrete. It’s also less likely to become slippery when wet, so a safer option too!
Resin bound stone is very low-maintenance surface. It should only require occasional sweeping with a stiff brush or broom to remove leaves and organic matter, which will help to reduce weed and moss growth.
It is recommended to periodically wash the surface using a pressure washer to remove more stubborn grime. More details can be provided on request.

Are resin bound driveways
wheelchair-accessible?
Yes, as they provide a solid, smooth and even surface, making it accessible for wheelchairs and prams. They’re also much less susceptible to cracking or crumbling in hot weather, compared to tarmac or concrete.
The water permeability of the surface also makes it less slippery than many other outside surfaces. Overall, there are lots of great qualities about this material that make it more accessible and wheelchair-friendly.
